What Is A Planetary Motor?
A planetary motor is a type of gear motor that uses a planetary gear system to achieve high torque output in a compact package. The planetary gear system consists of a central sun gear, multiple planet gears that rotate around the sun gear, and an outer ring gear that meshes with the planet gears. The rotation of the planet gears around the sun gear creates a high torque output at the output shaft of the motor.
How an Planetary Motor works？
A planetary motor is a type of gear motor that uses a planetary gear train to increase torque and reduce speed. The planetary gear train consists of sun gear, planet gear, and ring gear. The sun gear is the central gear, and the planet gears orbit the sun gear. The ring gear is the outer gear, and it meshes with the planet’s gears.
When the sun’s gear rotates, it causes the planet’s gears to rotate. The planet’s gears, in turn, cause the ring gear to rotate. The ratio of the number of teeth on the sun gear to the number of teeth on the ring gear determines the gear ratio of the planetary motor.
The higher the gear ratio, the more torque the planetary motor will produce. However, the higher the gear ratio, the slower the planetary motor will run.
